The first version of Image2wap.com used to be a web application helping to download any pictures from the Internet or from user's computer to his mobile phone through WAP.

Image2wap.com used tricky methods of cropping and resizing to make pictures look good on mobile phone with any screen size, resolution, and aspect ratio.

Image2wap.com used to run a Java 2 EE Web application. Used technologies:

• Apache Tomcat 5 Servlet/JSP Container;
• Java 2D API;
• Java Servlet Technology;
• HSQLDB database engine;
• JavaServer Pages Technology with JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library (JSTL);
• WURFL (Mobile Device Description Repository).

However, the site was not very popular, so it is no more.
