Initially gcInformer was designed to allow everyone to add a small graphic banner to their sites, blogs and forums. It is possible to specify the xml feed of any shared Google Calendar as a source.

I started working on gcInformer on June 15, 2006. But on the 17th of June it became possible in the Google Calendar to generate HTML code for adding to the user sites. The solution offered by Google is based on JavaScript and <iframe>. So I have stopped development of gcInformer.
