APEV PX

Overview

APEV PX is a console application for extracting and dumping meta-information from PE (Portable Executable) files. APEV PX is intended for command-line batch mode use and can generate reports for many files in one run. It is a cross-platform application that runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

APEV PX extracts the following information:

• DOS Header;
• COFF File Header;
• Optional NT Headers;
• Export Table;
• Import Table.

Here are some sample reports generated with APEV PX: PE Headers, Import Table, and Export Table.

APEV PX generates reports in the HTML format based on user-customizable templates. Customizing the templates also allows changing the output to any text-based format, including XML.

Known Limitations

• APEV PX 1.0 only supports the 32-bit PE format and doesn't support the 64-bit PE+ format.

System Requirements

• Java^™ Runtime Environment version 1.4.1 or higher.

Evaluation Version Limitations

• The limited evaluation version of APEV PX will process no more than 5 files in one run.
• You may use the evaluation version of APEV PX for only 30 days, and you must buy a license to continue working with APEV PX after the evaluation period.
