General information

Anywhere PE Viewer is a free tool for exploring PE (Portable Executable) files (EXE, DLL).

With Anywhere PE Viewer, you can inspect all PE headers, view export tables and import tables (See How to view the dependencies of a DLL or EXE file?) and resources.

Anywhere PE Viewer can generate HTML reports with all information from headers (see samples), export some types of resources (RT_ICO, RT_STRING, AVI) into files (see How to extract icons from EXE, DLL, OCX and SCR files and get ICO files?) and compute the PE checksum.

Platform independence

Designed for the Microsoft Windows operating system, the suite for Windows includes an installer with uninstall support, and native executable for better system integration;

anywherepeviewer-017-win-nojre.exe (434 Kb) — Lightweight suite for Windows requires Java 1.3.1 or higher.

For Mac OS X users and for the Java 2 Platform

The suite for the Java 2 Platform is platform independent. It can be run on Mac OS X (Mac OS X Tiger includes the full version of Java 1.4 preinstalled), Linux or IBM OS/2.
